PAGAN REMEMBRANCE DAY
In deep remembrance of all the sacred and rare Celtic/ Druidic texts which were violently burned in St. Patrick’s Crusading and Tyrannical “Easter Fire” and thus forever lost…….
In Her, Through Her, I bless this Day.
In memory of all the of native “snakes” (metaphorically referring to the talismans, ritual tools and other sacred objects which represented Pagan Celebration) that were destroyed and banished from the deep archetypal well of Goddess-Wise spirituality…..
In Her, Through Her, I bless this Day.
In sombre honour of all those who were persecuted, slain, oppressed, stigmatized and branded “evil” for preserving the Ancestral wisdom and traditions of Briton’s Holy Land, be it the Pagan, the Midwife, the Druid, Pict, Wise Wo/man, Bard or Seer….
In Her, Through Her, I bless this Day.
In awareness of Patricus (Gaewyn): he who was (likely) born Roman, enslaved by raiders in Ireland for 6 years before escaping and returning to Europe. He who then became an embittered Catholic Missionary who, with a heart overshadowed by judgment and prejudice, was later ordained Bishop. He who returned to Ireland, Land of Dana, with a “Mission” of hatred and anger- he who unquestionably loathed the pagan Earth Ways and sought to “purge” and “purify” the land through mass conversion and abject condemnation. He who became glorified by the exultant and righteous Christians of Old Ireland and who, despite the cultural-spiritual genocide which followed in his wake, was patronized Saint Patrick.
A saint for “cursing their (Druidic Elders) fertile lands so that they became dreary bogs; cursing their rivers so that they produced no fish; cursing their very kettles, so that no amount of fire and patience could ever be made to boil; and as a last resort, cursing the Druids themselves, so that the earth opened up and swallowed them.”
I reclaim the truth of this much over-looked and quieted His-story and
In Her, Through Her, I bless this Day.
In the spirit of the bountiful shamrock, sacred symbol of the Triple Goddess who is green and rich with life, shamrock who forms hearts to remind us of Her abundant Love….I do here now seek to accept and forgive the tragedy of the true historical significance of this day, St. Patrick’s Day.
I do herein restore the Truth, my Ancestral Irish truth and thus, my birth-rite.
I honour this day as a day of Remembering for all the Celtic-Shamanic Traditions of Old.
I wear the black of the cauldron to grieve ancient losses.
I wear the green of the shamrock to restore them.
What is Remembered Lives.
Blessings to all Beings of the Green Heart.
